It worked out great and I got a bunch of sweet potatoes in August. They are nice plants and make beautiful flowers. I just got my slips going last week this year.Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14920326845870515381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955116067520235636.post-48630949553877559692008-03-26T22:11:00.000-05:002008-03-26T22:11:00.000-05:00sea2shore-I'm still in this learning curve myself ...sea2shore-
I'm still in this learning curve myself and definitely appreciate any input from others! I think it has been an adventure to learn how to play country while being in the city! Have fun with your sweet potatoes! The Beginning Farmer's Wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08930750761646770794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955116067520235636.post-28251428899948396842008-03-26T18:43:00.000-05:002008-03-26T18:43:00.000-05:00I really love your blog. I'm more of a city-girl with country ideas, meaning I love to cook and bake from scratch, spend time outdoors and penny pinch but only want to live a few miles from the modern conveniences in town. I love making homemade jams, applesauce and breads. I also love growing flowers but have only grown a few vegetables to eat. I'm going to try the sweet potatoes even if I'm getting a late start.

AmyAmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09705809678738565983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955116067520235636.post-55385745830345259632008-03-26T13:19:00.000-05:002008-03-26T13:19:00.000-05:00I think I started mine around the same time as you...I think I started mine around the same time as you. We are mainly growing our for vining house plants. It all started when I told the girls that we grew some plants to take home to our moms for Mother's day out of Sweet potatoes. I did this way back in middle school so I just pray that I did it all right:) My MIL says it's near impossible to ruin a sweet potato plant so we are watching on pins and needles here. The roots were well over 8 inches when we transplanted them. Your's are coming along great!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6955116067520235636.post-47477130862016723182008-03-25T23:15:00.000-05:002008-03-25T23:15:00.000-05:00Remind me to tell you about a new friend tomorrow....Remind me to tell you about a new friend tomorrow.
